I'm a multi-disciplinary artist living and working in Brooklyn, NY. Posting what I make and what I see. Also: manbartlett.com

Research sometimes leads to fascinating convergences. Ones that both bridge and collapse. As it happens I’ve been thinking about light and Beethoven a lot recently, albeit independently. And the forced Google “social” search returns on the Martin Creed On/Off piece led me here:

Pictured: artist Katie Paterson’s Light Bulb to Moonlight Sonata (2008). Produced with the lighting company OSRAM to perfectly replicant the average moonlight, each set contains a sufficient number of light bulbs to provide a person with a lifetime supply of moonlight. Her work is conceptual, poetic and demands an inquisitive viewer. She, like Carl Sagan, reminds us that The Frontier is Everywhere. Artinfo has more.
