DEMATERIALIZE!
Artist Stephen Wuensch is currently teaching an online course called DEMATERIALIZE! for Bruce High Quality Foundation’s “University.” He recently posted this about my upcoming project, #Theseus. Pretty cool stuff, enjoy!

#Theseus
Starting this Friday, January 29th, at 9am, I will attempt to walk from 59th and Lexington to Times Square, and back. You are welcome to join at any point, and/or play online using #Theseus. The entire journey should take 20something hours, or only 10 if I’m not able to defeat the Invisible Minotaur (who awaits us on the red stairs). I am not sure if this can be completed. Thank you, Man

#circlefriday
It’s no secret I like circles. Yesterday I was feeling some circle fatigue while working on this beast. So I decided to see what circles other people like. You can join in on the fun right now right here. Or, if you prefer, you can watch this instead.

Karma
“Hi there,” he said, sticking out his hand to shake mine. “You’ve heard of Karma, right? What goes around comes around, right?” I looked down and he was starting to show me some book. Preaching Karma, to me, seems like, well, bad karma. He was young too! Early 20’s. This experience was made all the more bizarre by the fact that I had just seen someone on a...

Liberty
I like being a tourist in the city where I live. I spent most of 2009 traveling as a guest in a host of foreign countries.* There is something comforting to me to be surrounded by foreigners, all waiting to take us on the same ferry to Liberty Island to see a symbol of America.
I haven’t felt “at home” in a long time. Not even sure what that means anymore, and I think I’m...

After The Non-Buy
Thank you so much to everyone who participated in #BestNonBuy. Both online and those who came to visit. It was a much bigger success than I had anticipated. It has taken a full two days to get my system back in order but I am now hashing out plans for documentation of this and planning future projects. Expect more in the next few days, including details about my plans for this Thursday’s...

24h Best non-Buy is happening now!
This was supposed to have been posted automatically at 6pm, but, well, Tumblr decided not to:
Click here for the original post and here to interact on Twitter! Or if you’re near Union Square you can wander in. I’m here, shopping free. P.S. You can also be a part by contributing. Fun details on what that entails on the original post, or just:
Thanks!

Roosevelt in Island Form
A few fellow Fluxers* and I took a walk tonight from Flux Factory to Roosevelt Island and back. The ever knowledgable Jean dishing out all manner of trivia: Water turbines power the (only) grocery store on the island, you once could pay to see the mentally disturbed in the asylum, in the 19th century NYC was the world’s biggest exporter of oysters, etc.
Still settling in to my new space...
